It was a truly glorious year for sports. Our students as usual participated enthusiastically in all the events throughout the year. This year was full of amazing performances by individuals as well as on a team front.
We had organized interclass volleyball, carom, TT, Football, Kabaddi, Khokho for all the boys. At the same time sports like Volleyball, box cricket, TT, carom had been arranged for girls. SYME Boys won TT, CE department won khokho, TYCO Girls won TT, SYCO girls won badminton; TYME Boys won Volleyball, Carrom and Kabaddi whereas TYIE girls placed the mark in Box criket, volleyball & carom. Our students won laurels in the intercampus events winning in TT, carom & volleyball. Girls won both places in carom singles. There was a start of IEDSSA Sports tournament for students of polytechnic which turned out to be best platform for our students. Our Athletics team gave a magnificent performance & won 7 trophies in all.
The tradition was carried by a superb performance in a volley ball event. We were Runner-up in volley ball followed by another two winner trophies in carom and chess. Our team reached final in Kho-Kho, but came second in a nail biting finish. In football the team won the runner up trophy, sharing the hard work, than the previous year. The carom & chess event of IEDSSA at state level was organized at VYP polytechnic Solapur at state level. We won the winner trophy in carom and participated in chess. Along with their excellent performance in sport activity in the Polytechnic, students have shown their matter in sports like TT, Cricket, Rifle Shooting at states as well as National level. Looking at the achievement we can surly say we are now becoming centre of excellence in sports. We hope that this legacy continues in the near future.
